This was an absolutely amazing senior session...almost too good to be true! I have done headshots for Briana and her older sister before and was so happy to be doing her senior pictures this year! One thing about Briana is that she a marvelous dancer and I got to do some dancing shots of her as well, which was new to me and I had fun doing. My favorite outfit was Briana's mustard yellow dress and that to-die-for hat that just tied the whole outfit together! Briana, her mother and I were all just so amazed at how well that outfit worked with the location! I gawked over these images for such a long time and I'm so excited to be sharing them with you (:
Here's to another weekly assignment in my small format class. Thankfully, this week wasn't so hard to get. The goal was to get "bokeh" in your image. Bokeh is easily defined as the blurry circles in an image, when the background is blurred out and whatever is in focus stands out more. As a portrait photographer, bokeh almost comes naturally in many photos because many clients want that in their image. I had a former model/client of mine, Brooke, model for me in this assignment. I also had a lighting kit from my school which was an umbrella light stand. I've never used an umbrella flash before outdoors and was very pleased with what I got--definitely going to invest in one of those very soon!
